Are you passionate about creating an extra "wow" factor with local presence in customer meetings, working with proactive sales, networking, and collaborating to find new comprehensive deals? Then you should read on! In the role of Area Manager, you will work within private insurance and operate in Region Söder with the head office in Borås. Your mission is proactive sales and advice with a focus on comprehensiveness and breadth based on the customer’s needs for housing, motor, and personal insurance. You will provide advice as an insurance specialist primarily in booked physical or digital customer meetings.

You will also work with proactive sales via phone, digital channels, customer visits, and customer events. In addition, you will focus on networking and collaborative activities to build relationships and create upselling opportunities. Of course, all sales are based on the customer’s needs! You will be responsible for:

  • Developing local advice in dialogue with customers, colleagues, and partners.
  • Locally attracting and recruiting new customers as well as retaining existing customers.
  • Ensuring that customers receive support and assistance according to their needs with a focus on comprehensiveness and simplicity.
  • Handling more complex insurance issues at the offices.
  • Developing close cooperation with Banking, Life and Pension, Capital, Real Estate Brokerage, Alarm and Security Services, Corporate Sales, various local partners, and local car dealers, etc.
  • Initiating, planning, executing, and participating in local customer events.
  • Representing LF Älvsborg at various local events, sales-related activities, and external contexts.
  • Proactively reaching out to customers based on current campaigns and customer lists.
  • Broadening the customer both within insurance and also to our other business areas.
  • Contributing to collaboration between our department at the head office in Vänersborg and our other offices.
  • Monitoring the external environment and analyzing effects on operations and customers.
  • Conducting physical or digital advisory meetings with customers.

You need to have a strong self-drive, be proactive, enjoy sales based on customer needs, and be motivated by networking and collaboration. Much of the work is based on relationship-building activities and proactive sales. The goal is to increase the number of new customers, nurture existing customers, and find the best solution based on the customer’s needs while ensuring that the customer is properly insured. You are responsible for the contact with the customer, which also means that you need to reach out to customers and follow up on quotes. You have your own sales budget that motivates you to perform at your best, and you are expected to maintain high availability and customer satisfaction. In this role, we have several laws to comply with, risks to consider, and documentation to write, so it is important that you are structured and conduct your sales with high quality. Your mission includes ensuring the overall picture and you are responsible for helping the customer to colleagues in other departments such as banking, corporate, life and pension, or real estate brokerage.

We want you to have at least three years of experience in sales and advice within insurance, with broad competence and previous experience of working proactively towards a sales budget. You should be able to demonstrate good performance related to goals, communication, and quality. You need to have experience working in multiple customer systems and find effective ways to work. To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to have a high self-drive, gain energy from clear goals, high activity, networking, and collaboration. You should be able to have continuous follow-ups and be motivated by finding solutions and working with sales by building relationships. You are someone who wants to exceed the customer’s expectations in every conversation. You are flexible and solution-oriented to help customers and are good at building relationships with customers and colleagues. For you, it is important to take initiative and responsibility to achieve both your own and the group’s goals. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written form. You are a team player who sees opportunities, gives energy, and contributes to a good atmosphere. You need to have a B driver's license and access to your own car as there will be some travel within the region.
